Dr. Pratima Pankar graduated in 1985 and has got over 22 years of clinical experience. She has worked at best dental institutions in India like Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal; SDM Dental College, Dharwad and KLES Dental College, Belgaum all in Karnataka, India.
She has also worked at Goa Dental College And Hospital, Bambolim, Goa and Manipal Goa Hospital, Dona Paula, Goa, India.
The doctor has gained skill and expertise under able guidance of highly experienced Professors at these Institutions.

 

The clinic is at Panjim, the capital of Goa  on the banks of the serene river Mandovi. A good change from the usual coastal beach side and a good chance to explore capital city side by side.
As a health care provider we are fully versed with the possibilities of disease transmission to our patients. We therefore consider it our moral responsibility to ensure proper Infection control in the operatory. Besides the universal precautions of gloves, face mask, protective clothing and eye-wear, the use of disposable instruments is encouraged as far as possible.

For other instruments:

The instruments are washed immediately in water or presoaked in water if it is not possible to clean the instruments immediately. This prevents drying of saliva or blood to facilitate actual cleaning. The instruments are then cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. The instruments are then packed in special pouches that have color indicators to confirm the efficacy of sterilization. The packaging also prevents contamination during storage before the next use. Precleaned package instruments are then processed in an autoclave. Autoclaved instruments are stored in a clean, dry environment and delivered to the point of use in a manner that maintains sterility of instruments until they are used.
